Jason Ball
Mr. Ball has been involved in all aspects of the ownership of Shopping Centers, Operations, Leasing, Portfolio Management, Underwriting, Site Selection, Development, and Re-Development. Since 1997, he has participated in the growth of both private and institutional Shopping Center REIT’s in California and seven Western states.
Jason D. Ball began his real estate career with Center Oak Properties/Center Cal Properties in 1997 working directly under Fred Bruning and Jean Paul Wardy, eventually becoming responsible for the leasing of approximately 3 million square feet of community and neighborhood Shopping Centers and Re-Development of Malls located in California, Oregon, and Washington.
Mr. Ball then spent 7 years with Regency Centers LP (NYSE:REG) three (3) years as a Development Manager and four (4) years as a Leasing Representative. In this role, he was responsible for the Leasing and Re-Development of approximately 5 million square feet (31) Grocery-anchored Shopping Centers located throughout California. Mr. Ball was promoted to Development Manager and responsible for the development of 2.7 million square feet of Target and Grocery-anchored centers located throughout California.
In 2008 Mr. Ball relocated to San Diego to join New Plan/Centro Properties (ASX:CER), as Vice President, Leasing, West Region and was given the responsibility of formulating and implementing the strategic real estate growth plan for the Western United States. In this role, he was responsible for all Leasing and Re-Development of (53) Shopping Centers comprised of approximately 9.7 million square feet of community and neighborhood Shopping Centers located in seven states, including California, Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Texas, and Wyoming.
Having established a reputation of integrity and productivity throughout the retail and brokerage communities in the Western United States, Mr. Ball formed Emerald Property Group LLC in 2013. Close personal contacts with National and Regional retail tenants throughout the United States, combined with his experience in the Shopping Center industry from the public and private Asset Management, Leasing, Development, and Re-Development sectors, give Mr. Ball a strategic advantage in the competitive Shopping Center industry.
